Pastor Joshua has spent his life in ministry. Raised on the mission field of Haiti, Joshua has ministry and adventure in his blood. Serving alongside his father, Emory Goodman, for almost 5 years of mission work in Haiti, instilled in him a sense of adventure and purpose for the Kingdom. When the family returned to the States in 1985, Joshua continued to partner with his father as they built Cliffdale Christian Center, a thriving multi-racial, multi-cultural church of believers that started from a small home gathering.

At the young age of 18, Joshua became the youth pastor of Cliffdale and also served as a short-term mission trip leader to several outreach trips to Haiti, Dominican Republic, and Belize.

After building a 100+ member youth group, Joshua felt the call to plant a church on a local college campus.  He and several families began "Pursuit" church and successfully pastored this congregation for 4+ years.

In 2012, Joshua's father Emory, desired to step aside as Senior Pastor to pursue his love for the mission field once again. Emory asked his son to "return home to Cliffdale" and assume the reigns as the new Senior Pastor. Of course, Joshua said yes and in 2013, Pursuit Church and Cliffdale Christian Center merged as one congregation under the new banner of Cliffdale Church with Joshua as Senior Pastor.

Joshua has been married to the love of his life, Amber, since 1995 and they have 6 beautiful children. They are also blessed with 3 grandchildren and more on the way.
